Amazon & Netflix work perfectly. BBC iplayer servers are down march 15, not working at all in the app and on desktop. Rob All I am seeing with the BBC iPlayer on Mac and Windows is a black blank screen, nothing and updated FLash etc. I've tried removing the iplayer app and re-installing it, but the problem persisted and I am sure that there is not a problem with my broadband speeds. I suspect that the problem started when the iplayer application was last updated on 21/Apr/17 (version 2.4). Jul 22, 2020 · The problem is the iPlayer is a service meant to be used only by residents, individuals who pay for the UK’s mandatory TV license. All those “around the world” viewers were never supposed to happen. Some data suggest an estimated 60 million people living outside the UK watch the BBC iPlayer with VPNs or other tools that bypass geo-blocking.
May 31, 2020 · The BBC has confimed it is investigating these issues, which it says causes some Roku devices to crash and restart when trying to access the BBC iPlayer. The problem appears to be linked to a recent software update applied to the devices. For those affected by the fault, a fix, or a timeframe for a fix to the problem hasn't yet been announced.

I looked at the relevant thread on the help forum. I've reset and updated the TV software but it's still not loading tv shows. Can anyone give me any pointers? I have a UE40F5300

Re: BBC iPlayer slow on 26-10-2018 10:01 Assuming you're using a TiVo box and not a V6, then yes the app is not the quickest at loading.. but once a program starts it's quite normal for a few stutters & buffers to occur as the "adaptive bit rate" in the app settles at your current internet speed and gets the stream going.
