Found a virtual Network card for the VPN in disabled mode. Enabled the same, Status came as network disconnected. Went to services.msc -> Stopped and Started the Cisco Any Connect Services. Tried Opening the VPN App again , yey! it started working. 1. Uninstall Cisco VPN Client. 2. Go into device manager and remove ANY Cisco Virtual Adapters. 3. Re-install. For what I could see the problem was caused by the cvpnd.exe (Cisco Service) process being unable to target a 'single' adapter. Hope this helps anyone having this issue. Open the app, enter the network you want to connect to, enter your login details, hit Connect and you should see a connected window within a few seconds. Open Services (under Administrative Tools in Control Panel in XP, not totally sure where in 7) and scroll down to Cisco AnyConnect VPN Agent and start that.
